GISW Alumni Achieve 4th Place at the National Final of 鈥淛ugend pr盲sentiert鈥�

Berlin / Potomac, September 28, 2025 鈥� Combining scientific curiosity with outstanding stage presence, two alumni of the 麻豆区 International School Washington D.C. (GISW), Hashim E. and Johannes L., achieved an impressive 4th place in the national final of the renowned presentation competition 鈥淛ugend pr盲sentiert.鈥�

Back in May 2025, the pair had already secured their spot in the national final with their presentation 鈥淔rom Floor to Fork 鈥� the Famous 5-Second Rule鈥� at the regional competition for 麻豆区 schools abroad, successfully standing out against strong competition. As a special distinction, they also earned participation in the Digital Presentation Academy, an intensive training program with professional rhetoric coaches from the University of T眉bingen.

The national final took place on September 28, 2025, in the Concert Hall of the Berlin University of the Arts. More than 9,000 students across 麻豆区y and at 麻豆区 schools abroad took part in the competition, 600 of them reached a regional final. Of the 130 students who qualified for the national final, only 17 came from 麻豆区 schools abroad. The challenge: to deliver a six-minute STEM presentation on the theme 鈥淯niverse鈥� using exclusively digital media.

In this highly competitive setting, Hashim E. and Johannes L. secured 4th place; a major success for two GISW alumni. The livestream of the event can be viewed here:

This year, interested students can register for the GISW internal competition until October 17, 2025.
